Week 11 PLN

In what ways have we used blended learning effectively in THIS CLASS? In what ways has our blended learning approach been ineffective in THIS CLASS?
Almost everything we do in out technology class is considered belyening learning. The most effective aspect of blending learning in this class is how we all learn and post together week by week. We are able to independently complete our work and then get every other students feedback instantly. In my opinion, the most ineffective part of blended learning has been working ahead. Before I have started working on future blog posts, I sometimes read other peoples rather than exploring it myself. I would like to be able to discover the new content by myself before I read others.
What is your philosophy on blended learning?
Stacy Hawthorne said, "Blended learning is more than electronic textbooks and productivity tools. It means inventing and adopting new learning environments that work better for teachers and students". This is what i like to think of as my philosophy for blended learning. Making the class fun and engaging, but also creating a classroom environments  that can meet the needs and benefit all students simultaneously.
What was the most striking thing you took away from Stacy's presentation? How will it impact your own learning?
The most striking thing I took away from Stacy's presentation was the purpose of blended learning. If you honesty think you are doing what is best for your kids than you should pursue it. Blending learning is all about what you can do to help better your kids. It is more than just throwing tools for the kids, but also help them learn in better ways.

Self-selected topic related to Stacy's presentation
I learned that Ohio was the third largest state with online class participation. I found this very interesting because many of the people I talk to don't enjoy online classes. Personally, I am the biggest fan of them either. However, this was really surprising to hear that Ohio has the third largest participation rate. Maybe it's because nobody likes walking to classes in the snow during April.

If I was the judge I would rule in favor of Anna because she is the person that all of these neccesities are being taken from and it is her body to chose what is done to it. But it would be hard for a family member to not considering helping out a sister or any relation to somebody. I can see why Sara is so forceful because she wants her daughter to continue living and can see Anna as being very selfish and not caring towards her sister.

If parents are okay with it and nobody is being hurt in a process then I strongly believe in the helping of a sibling. It can feel like a life saver and both will recieve just as much love from parent. But some parents might just be doing it to see what happens. This is practically abuse of the system, but for the greater good in general I do support the test tubing of baby.

Holocaust..did it happen?

If i was talking to somebody who believed  that holocaust didn't exist, i would say to them it did exist. Through all the tracking and systems of tracking how many people were involved in this genocide, it would be impossible to believe that it really didn't happen. The conspiracy would be too hard to follow and countries and survivors wouldn't just make up unrealistic stories of what had happened during the holocaust. It was a major part of world history and there is no way to go around it.

Holocaust

If your country was abandoned and had everything taken from them and had nobody to rely on, you would look for almost any answer. When somebody starts influencing the people and saying were better than this and we aren't going to take this, everybody jumps on board. These leaders have these twisted ideas and people just want to get out of this depression.

Chap. 10

A situation that happened like this is when my mom and me were at a Wal-Mart and this guy was being real mean mean to the cashier because the machines weren't working. My mom said to the guy that it's not the cashiers problem that the machine won't work.  This shows she will get involved and stand up for something that is wrong and against our moral ethics. The positive thing I learned was my mom will have a voice when she thinks its necessary. She has her opinions and she will share when they are strong.

Scout

The stories would transfer to my neighborhood by their most likely wouldn't be a girl and the games we would play would be different. What I would change about the story is Dill in Maycomb during he school year and every day practically be centered around the Boo Radley. What would stay the same is the way the kids experience the town, school, and scares at the Radley place. I would not be friends with Scout becaus eshe seems to be very believing in only certain  things and wants to keep things the same.
